After obtaining her B.A. in Mathematics and Economic Development from the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts, Karen worked for Citizens Bank in the corporate finance team for 4 years in Boston and New York City. She then accepted a fellowship with the Frontier Markets Fellowship Program from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, where she gained knowledge about impact investment, innovative business model design, fund management, and impact venture profiling. As part of her fellowship, she decided to move to Phnom Penh to join the Uberis Capital team. Today she is a Senior Financial Analyst at Uberis Capital, working on current and prospective investments.
Barthélémy decided to come to Phnom Penh after graduating from HEI (a French Engineering School), where he specialized in Finance. He previously visited Southeast Asia as a volunteer in the Philippines, working on the building site of an NGO’s model village. Barthélémy also gained experience in financing renewable energy projects with ACOFI, a French investment management firm focused on infrastructure investing, and financing innovation driven startups with BPI France, a government backed public investment bank that supports SMEs and private sector development in France. As part of our team based in Phnom Penh, Barthélémy works on current and prospective investments.
